Baccarat is one of the easiest card games to learn, yet it offers surprising strategic depth. At wepoker, we believe every player deserves to truly understand the game they're playing — not just press a button and hope for the best. So let's go a little deeper into what makes baccarat so compelling.
The basics of baccarat are straightforward: two hands are dealt — one for the Banker and one for the Player. Your goal is to predict which hand will have a total value closest to 9. Card values in baccarat differ from most card games — numbered cards (2 through 9) carry their face value, while 10s, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth zero. Aces count as 1. When the total of two cards exceeds 9, only the last digit counts — for example, 7 + 8 = 15, so the hand value is 5.
One thing that often confuses new players is the third card rule. This is not a player decision — it happens automatically according to fixed rules. If the Player hand totals 0–5, a third card is dealt to the Player. The Banker then follows a slightly more complex set of rules depending on the value of the Player's third card. But don't worry — at wepoker live tables, the dealer handles all of this automatically. You just need to focus on placing your bets.
At wepoker, road maps are displayed in real time at every baccarat table. These road maps show the results of previous rounds — Banker, Player, or Tie — in a colour-coded grid format. Many experienced players use road maps to identify patterns and guide their betting decisions. While each round is statistically independent, the road map remains a useful visual tool for planning your strategy.
The most widely recommended strategy among experienced baccarat players is straightforward: always bet on Banker. With a house edge as low as 1.06%, the Banker bet is statistically the best long-term option compared to Player (1.24%) or Tie (14.36%). Even with the 5% commission on Banker wins, it still offers the best value for your money.
At wepoker, we also offer a No Commission Baccarat variant — where Banker wins pay out in full at 2.00x with no deductions. There is a tradeoff, though: when Banker wins with a value of 6, the payout drops to 0.5x. If you'd rather skip the commission cut altogether, this variant is worth a try.
Baccarat Speed is the go-to choice for players who love fast-paced action. Each round wraps up faster than a standard baccarat table — ideal for those who want to fit in more rounds within the same timeframe. With betting limits from RM 20 to RM 50,000, it suits players of all levels.
Platform wepoker uses the latest video streaming technology to deliver a truly seamless live baccarat experience. With 1080p video quality, crisp audio, and a responsive interface, you can play comfortably from home on a laptop or on the go from any mobile device. No additional app download required.
